How QazCloud Can Accelerate the Transition to a National Messenger

QazCloud has announced its readiness to provide infrastructure and cybersecurity for the national messenger in the shortest possible time, drawing on its experience in operating information systems for Kazakhstan’s largest corporations.

The company emphasizes that it already has the technological foundation to implement the project within tight deadlines and in full compliance with national legislation on personal data protection. This includes certified data centers located within Kazakhstan, a multi-level encryption system, user authentication tools, and round-the-clock security monitoring.

“The lack of a unified management hierarchy and duplication of functions leads to slow responses by government agencies to cyber threats. This situation must be urgently addressed. We must create resilient, integrated, and secure systems,” noted the President of Kazakhstan, highlighting the importance of building digital sovereignty.

Indeed, today the industry faces a number of challenges: data is stored on different platforms, often outside the country; there is no unified security standard; many communication solutions rely on foreign infrastructure, increasing the risks of data leaks and limiting control over critical services.

It should be noted that Kazakhstan has recently seen a sharp increase in cyberattacks. According to KZ-CERT, more than 20 million hacking attempts on information systems were prevented last year alone, while the number of phishing campaigns and malware-based attacks nearly doubled. These figures clearly show that creating and protecting national digital services is not a matter for the future — it is a necessity for today.
